A fine library accessory that can be used as a reading or book stand, or as an architect’s writing table or side table; the top is adjustable in angle and in height with two ratchet mechanisms. The library table having a rectangular table top, carved at top and side borders with incised foliate design, and with removable molded bookrest, raised on a trestle stand with two pairs of splayed legs — also with variously carved neoclassical decoration — ending in brass paw casters.
Condition: Generally very good, the mahogany with a nice patina. Restoration to one leg. Some decorative carving possibly later.
