Set of 12 botanical prints each representing a month of the year. The flowers associated with the different months are shown growing outdoors on small patches of ground. Some are enlivened with illustrations of insects. The names of the flower shown for the particular month are named in the upper left corner. The lettering is printed in gold in a decorative Victorian font embellished with line drawings of grasses or small flowers.

The prints are January: Snowdrops; February: Crocus; March: Primroses, Orkips & Violets; April: Buttercups & Pansies; May: Goldcups, Hawthorn & Wall-flower; June: Wild Roses & Lilies of the Valley; July: Jasmin & Woodbine; August: Poppies; September: Cinque-foil & Harebell; October: Foxglove; November: Hips & Ham; December: Holly & Ivy.

Paul Jerrard, a London publisher, produced various sets comprised of 12 chromolithographs of flowers according to different themes.  These included the 12 Months of the Year, and Flower Painting in Twelve Progressive Lessons. Each features beautiful arrangements and highly decorative Victorian typeface.

Condition: Each very good with only minor overall toning and wear.
