Anatomical study of a skeleton with various bones numbered and corresponding to an index provided in the lower portion. This is from a larger medical work, intended for the instruction of human anatomy, which contained layered life-size anatomical charts, and is considered a publishing landmark for its use of pop-ups.

Description

Levi W. Yaggy was a Chicago author and publisher. His other works included a boxed set containing an astronomical chart (see the chart on our site), an ethnographic chart of the peoples of the world, geology maps, and a raised relief map. He also co-wrote books on a variety of topics, from popular guides for living a successful and morally virtuous life to books on ethnic anthropology and life in antiquity.

Condition: Generally very good with the usual light overall toning, handling, edge wear, soft creases. Extracted from a larger set that had other works.
