Lincoln Car Advertisement
American [?]: Late 1940s-early 1950s
Pen and ink and watercolor on illustration board
Signed indistinctly lower right: Simmins[?]
10 x 14 inches, overall

Brightly colored original illustration art of a late 1940s-early 1950s Lincoln car model, most likely a Lincoln Zephyr Model 9EL sport sedan. The streamlined red car is juxtaposed with the cobblestone streets and quaint architecture of a town with the street name Rue St. Louis, possibly in Quebec. Works such as these were generally created for print advertisements or promotional brochures.
