A decorative Ptolemaic armillary sphere in the Baroque manner, having a zodiac band with engraved classical figures enclosing various celestial bands, and with a central sphere representing the sun. It has an Italianate cast brass stand with central standard and three shaped acanthus leaf feet, on an octagonal wooden base.

Condition:  Generally very good overall with the usual light wear and handling.
