This print of Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands is a fine example of aquatint art, the clouds well delineated. The original painting was executed by Robert Andrew Riddell, a Scottish landscape painter, and dedicated by him to Benjamin West, then President of the Royal Academy. Riddell had exhibited at the Academy in 1793. Archibald Robertson was an engraver and printseller in London.
