A metal street sign reading “PLANETARIUM,” for outdoor identification of a public planetarium. It has simple white capital letters against a reflective fluorescent blue background. According to the prior owner, this particular sign was for the original Hayden Planetarium in New York City which was opened in 1935 and closed in 1997.

Condition: Generally good with the usual wear, oxidation, bending, discoloration associated with a utilitarian exposed sign. Original reflective fluorescent coating still present though quite worn.
