This small Edwardian-era terrestrial globe is set on an inclination arm on a simple tripod brass stand with splayed legs ending in scrolled feet. The cartography is simple, with countries, islands and major cities and bodies of water labeled. The oceans are green (faded blue) and geographic entities are shaded in green, orange, yellow and brown, with heavier outlines. British Commonwealth countries seem to be shaded in orange with red outlines, although so do some others like Mexico and Japan. This globe shows St. Petersburg, Russia, which dates it to prior to 1914, when it was renamed Petrograd. The Equator is marked with a dashed graduated line.
