A carved wooden statue of a winged angel, looking downwards with a pensive expression, standing and holding a curved staff. The figure stands on a small scrolled plinth, carved as part of the whole. It is sculpted in the Renaissance or Baroque taste.

This quite possibly is an Italian carving for a church. Alternatively, it could be a santo figure, a devotional religious work made in Spain, Portugal, or Latin America.

Condition: Generally very good with the usual overall wear — particularly to the gilding and paint — expected for this type of object. Some shrinkage cracks and old inactive wood worm holes, unobtrusive.
