A tabletop adjustable  bookstand for the display or reading of a book. Of typical form, having a rectangular backrest with central horizontal cross lattice and a scalloped support at the lower edge, opening and closing on a hinged lower platform, on a molded frame base. The bookstand adjusts to different angles with a ratchet mechanism on the lower platform. The lower platform also rotates 360 degrees like a lazy susan. The bookstand closes at the hinge when not in use for storage or transport. The wood is deliberately distressed to have very early Italian appearance.

Condition:  Generally very good with the usual overall light wear.
