Ceramic Tankard
Continental or English: Late 19th century
Majolica or other tin glazed earthenware
9 inches high, 6 inches wide including handle

A tin-glazed tankard with spout, of stylized naturalistic form with textured brown tree bark ground, having three raised relief pears with leaf sprigs on one side, and three raised relief apples with leaf sprigs on the other side. It has a green branch form handle. It is surmounted by a hinged pewter lid and has a spout.
