Miniature Desk-top Chest Cabinet

8.5 inches high, 6.25 inches wide, 5.25 inches deep

Unusual miniature desk-top chest cabinet box. It has a faux-leather book front door formed as a set of five book bindings, opening to reveal four  secret leather-fronted storage drawers with brass bail-handle hardware.The box is raised on flattened bun feet. Presumably it was made for jewelry or other valuables, writing accessories, or collectibles.

Condition: Generally good with the usual overall toning, wear, handling. Some staining and discoloration to leather especially on top, but unobtrusive.
