Tiger Form Inkwell
2nd Half 19th Century
Painted Metal
$425
Bookends and books in photograph priced and sold separately

A charming inkwell in the form of a tiger head with a fierce open mouth growl expression. It opens with the top of the head on hinges to reveal an inset glass inkwell. The tiger is realistically cast,  with painted details, including green eyes and bears a fierce growling expression.

It’s the Eye of the Tiger — roaring from a figural inkwell — a gift for a friend who is totally fierce. Victorian, painted metal, with hinged lid.  $425.

The Dead Poets Society would surely approve of our beautiful 5-volume gilt-decorated leather book set of Complete Poetical Works, c. 1900. Tennyson anyone? You’ll get your words worth from a volume of Wordsworth, not to mention Shelley, Milton, and Spenser. $600, the set.

Make ends meet buying a specially priced pair of c. 1940s bookends, made of heavy cast material painted to mimic antique book spines (flanking 2 of the 5 Complete Poetical Works). $350, the pair.
