Extraordinary illustrated book with color and toned black-and-white images of the great mansions of Florida, throughout the state, many built by "captains of industry." Among the homes shown are the Miami Home of J.C. Penney, Winter Home of Thomas A. Edison in Fort Myers, Sarasota Residence of John Ringling, etc.
The book was intended to promote development in Florida, as is evident by the "Afterword" of the book:
