A group of yachtsmen are shown trying, in vain, to select a name for a new yacht, in this humorous cartoon by Carl Rose for the Saturday Evening Post. Among the dozens of names suggested by the yachtsmen, but fortunately rejected, are Lord Smorgasbord, Glub Glub, and Schmendrik. Rose was a prolific American cartoonist, whose work was also published in the New Yorker, Boston Herald, and Collier's.
