Fascinating decorative illustrated book of the history of Wall Street and the New York financial community. This unique compilation by Charles C. Moreau is comprised of approximately 85 pages of text taken from two articles on the history of Wall Street, together with over 100 illustrative prints of noteworthy people and places, and maps and views, clipped from various books, magazines, etc. of the period (including Valentine's Manual), and mounted in the book by Moreau, some one to a page, some two or more to a page.

The two articles are Wall Street In History, by Martha J. Lamb, Magazine of American History, May 1883 and The New Custom-House, Anonymous, Harper's New Monthly Magazine, c. 1883. The prints include 122 lithographs, steel and woodblock engravings. The articles and illustrations are all inlaid to size to form a unique book.
