Finely executed precise original architectural rending of details of the facade of the Palace of Pandolfini in Florence . The palace was designed by the great Renaissance artist and architect, Raphael, for Gianozzo Pandolfini, the Archbishop of Troja and built c. 1515-1520. It still stands on Via Sangallo in Florence today.
The work is divided into three vertical sections. On the left is shown a rusticated column foreshadowing the Mannerist style with dentiled pediment. The middle section, "Fenêtre du 1'Etage," shows a window with triangular pediment, round pilaster, baluster rails, and Vitruvian scroll decoration. The right section "Fenêtre du Rez de Chaussée" shows a window with arched pediment and flat pilaster. Scale measurements are indicated. Pencil number 78577 and seal upper right margin.
