Each of dark-stained oak, surmounted by rectangular molded removable sectional frame enclosing a removable wooden trough with cast-iron rings for lifting at either side and with zinc liner, supported by rectangular paneled frieze having side-mounted hidden long drawer opening to expose the bottom panel for periodic cleaning, raised on four circular tapering legs, ending in brass casters.

Extremely unusual large pair of jardinieres -- the unusually functional and detailed design including a removable trough and a side-mounted drawer for easy maintenance. They formerly were in the Caribbean estate of a prominent retired New York City interior designer, where they were used as console tables under mirrors in the entrance.
