Available for prop rental or purchase. Please inquire.

A large carved wood panel of a two opposing facing wyverns. They are joined at the breasts by a cartouche panel and joined below at the mid legs by a turned cross stretcher. These two connective elements are fitted with simple brass hardware to hold and display a fencing sword.  A wyvern is a mythical animal — often employed in family heraldic crests — generally in the form of a two-legged winged dragon-like creature. The beasts in the offered plaque have bearded lion-like heads, flared wings, a long tail curled and ending in arrow point, and paw feet.

Condition: Generally very good with the usual overall wear and handling. Possibly adapted at a later date to hold the fencing sword.
