A bronze-mounted ostrich egg opens in two halves to act as a container. It is surmounted by a flower form lift handle and surrounded by a bronze figure of a long necked tropical bird and by two candle holders each having a foliate bobeche (collar on the candle socket to catch drippings).

Condition: Very good condition, noting a few minor hairline cracks to egg not affecting structure or integrity.
