2012, Prop Rental, Bergdorf Goodman Store Windows, Back to School

Bergdorf Goodman Store Windows
Fifth Avenue, New York City
David Hoey, designer
August 2012

Antique globes from the George Glazer Gallery decorated the windows of Bergdorf Goodman’s flagship store on New York’s Fifth Avenue during August 2012. The store incorporated a variety of terrestrial and celestial table globes as a back-to-school backdrop for clothing by Jonathan Saunders, Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga, Givenchy and Prada.

Among the items loaned by the gallery were a black ocean globe, a Paul Rath globe on a brass cherub stand, a 9-inch Hammond globe and a Denoyer Geppert Project globe.

The windows were designed by Bergdorf’s in-house window designer David Hoey, renowned for the wit and artistry of his displays.
