A W. & A.K. Johnston 18-inch terrestrial floor globe with a classical Empire stand was borrowed from the George Glazer Gallery by interior designer Eric Cohler for the 760-square-foot main room of This Old Showhouse in Carlisle, Massachusetts.

This Old Showhouse was a demonstration restoration and design project undertaken for the 25th anniversary season of the popular PBS television program This Old House. The team of experts featured on the show oversaw the renovation of the house and connected barn of an 1849 farmstead.
