Diego Della Valle is chairman of The Tod’s Group, an Italian luxury brand of leather shoes and accessories, as well as serving on the boards of Ferrari and the French firm LMVH and owning the fashion house Maison Schiaparelli. In an item appearing in “Vogue’s Index,” he shares his favorite shops, restaurants and hotels from Hong Kong to Venice — and he recommends our store as a New York City destination:

“I love to collect antique globes. There is one secret place in New York called George Glazer, which has a fantastic collection.”

Della Valle’s interest in antiques extends beyond his personal collection. In 2011,  pledged 25 million euros for the restoration of the Colosseum in Rome, and in 2021, reconfirmed that commitment at a ceremony marking completion of the second phase of the project, which is ongoing.
