George was interviewed for this UK-based collecting magazine shortly after he opened the George Glazer Gallery. Excerpts below:
“American globes are a fascinating area but I am quite shocked that no-one has specialised in them before — I suppose it’s because the subject matter is so esoteric,” he explained. “There is a lot more to a globe than just an object. The people who made them and the social and historical context in which they were constructed are both important…”
George…has achieved a great deal in a short time. With his enthusiasm and optimism he should be a great asset to the map world.
