Architectural Digest Maps of the World

Architectural Digest magazine and interior designer Mitchell Turnbough visited the George Glazer Gallery, which they featured among "Discoveries by Designers."

Maps of the World
New York designer Mitchell Turnbough (left) says about the Upper East Side gallery of George Glazer, where antique globes, historical maps and old prints jostle for position, "It's an exciting academic environment that still offers a sense of exploration with George as your expert guide."

Turnbough is shown in front of a display of globes, holding a 1657 map of a region in France by Jansson.  To the right of the photo is a humorously distorted pictorial map of North America with an oversized map of Texas, entitled Texas Brags, overlapping an 1865 bird's-eye view of New York City by John Bachmann.

Mitchell Turnbough was named and pictured with the firm of Bray-Schaible on the "AD 100," a list compiled by Architectural Digest that represents their selection of the top architects and interior designers whose work has been featured in the magazine over the past several years.
