About the Owner

George Glazer began his career as a corporate attorney, then worked for a prominent New York City map and art dealer before starting his own gallery in 1993. • From the beginning the emphasis has been on the themes of science, exploration and discovery as exemplified by globes, prints, maps, art and antiques. • The gallery's unusual ambiance reflects its owner -- scholarly and intellectual, but with an eye for the decorative and a sense of humor that revels in the offbeat. • This interesting combination has attracted the attention of the antiques and home decorating press.Read what they had to say.

George Glazer Gallery in business since 1994
"Glazer and other young dealers around town are shaking the dust off this creaky vocation. At his gallery, a third-floor walkup next door to the Rhinelander Mansion's Ralph Lauren store, Glazer has assembled a collection that's scholarly and intellectual without being snobby."
New York Magazine, 1996.
