The terrestrial globe with gold continents and bluish-green oceans, no cartographic detail or place names, having slot on the top for coins, on red-painted square base, one side with brass identification tag, the other with pull out drawer with printed paper instructions for collection of "Birthday Offerings." This globe was intended as a collection box to raise money for the United Christian Missionary Society each Sunday as birthday offerings, presumably at churches. According to the label on the inside of the drawer, the globe form "is suggestive of the world-wide work of the United Christian Missionary Society."
