Globe of Mars showing raised topography and craters with Latin names of physical formations. The images are photographically generated based on digital data images taken principally in the 1970s during the Mariner and especially the Viking U.S. space missions. The globe is loosely cradled in the original clear plastic display stand.
The globe was published by Sky Publishing Corporation, publishers of the popular astronomy magazine Sky & Telescope, and manufactured by Replogle Globes, a major American globe maker. Read more about Replogle in our Guide to Globe Makers.
