Pictorial Art Deco map of Hollywood section of Los Angeles, also incorporating Beverly Hills, Malibu, Santa Monica, and other surrounding areas. According to the subtitle of the map in the lower border it shows "studios, homes of stars, and points of interest." Homes located include those of Bette Davis, Jeanette MacDonald, Gary Cooper, Joan Crawford and Spencer Tracey. Paramount Pictures illustrated with figure of movie stars, and Disney Studios illustrated with picture of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Probably intended as a tourist souvenir, this is an early example of a map of the homes of the stars.

Historical text about Hollywood on map verso, as issued. The last paragraph reads, "Hollywood!-Where stars are born, dreams are realized, and hearts are broken; where fortunes are made and fortunes are lost; Hollywood, fickle mistress of the cinema world, beckons you to its enchanted city."

This map from the collection of the George Glazer Gallery appears in the book You Are Here by Katharine Harmon, New York: Princeton Architectural Press, 2004, pp. 144-145.
