The terrestrial globe surmounted by metal polar hour disc, within calibrated moveable patinated metal full meridian, raised on a Georgian style stand, the wooden horizon ring on four baluster turned legs joined by turned x-form stretcher centering a circular meridian holder with cut slot, ending in top-form feet.  Oceans green.  Geographical entities in a variety of colors.  Simple cartography.

Weber Costello, a major globe seller of the 20th century, issued various globes under the “Peerless” name.  Their 8-inch globe was issued on a variety of stands.  This stand is based on the design of early 19th Century English globe stands.
