The terrestrial globe surmounted by a round final and metal hour disc, canted on an angled inclination arm, raised on a standard-form Johnston tripod iron tripod base with acanthus and cabochon decoration on the cabriole legs, ending in paw feet.

This is the earliest known dated Weber Costello 8-inch globe, made with Johnston gores, copyrighted 1908. It has a Weber Costello cartouche imprinted in the gores, rather than as an overlabel.
