A rare terrestrial globe cradled in unusual innovative metal stand enabling it to revolve freely in any direction, the full meridian circle graduated in degrees 0-360º on one side, the metal horizon ring pivoting on two tapering quadrant supports joined to a hammered metal tapering and faceted octagonal base in the Arts and Crafts taste.
Manchukuo shown in China indicating a date of 1936 to 1945. "Simplified Physical=Political" globe, having few places names (but variously named mountain ranges), and color-coded (in tones of green and natural cream) to show mountain ranges and depths below sea level.
