Chicago: c. 1930s
9 inches high
Sold, please inquire as to the availability of similar items.

The terrestrial globe in half meridian, raised on a round iron base with foliate decoration. Generally bright. Some wear to applied equatorial band.

This model of globe was made to be inexpensive, so that one could be provided to each pupil in a classroom. It has the same style and graphics as the cartouche for the Weber Costello Co. Peerless 6-inch globe, but instead is indicated as manufactured by Greenlee Mfg. Co., presumably a successor or licensee of Weber Costello. For more information about Weber Costello see our Guide to Globe Makers.
