The terrestrial globe in half meridian, raised on a turned mahogany stand with central baluster standard, and dish base. Joseph and Herman Schedler, immigrants from Germany to the United States, produced a variety of table and floor globes, principally for educational use. Their globes were awarded various prizes at Paris Expositions.
