The terrestrial globe canted at an angle on a brass inclination arm, the mahogany stand with central turned baluster standard and dish base.

Heymann was a prolific globe maker, working in Germany in the second half of the 19th century. He produced various model of globes for schools, as well as a boudoir globe, an example of which is now in the collection of Rudolph Schmidt, illustrated in Lamb and Collins, The World in Your Hands.
