Translated the title reads,"Description of Egypt and Collection of Observations and Research that were done in Egypt during the expedition of the French Army." This work was completed under the supervision of the Emperor Napoleon, who retained skilled French artists (such as the renowned Pierre-Joseph Redoute and Jacques Barraband), architects, and archaeologists to compile this extensive work on the architecture and natural history of Egypt.

Condition: Generally very good with the usual toning, wear, soft creases. Margins with scattered short tears, chipping, etc., all easily matted out.
