Colorful double hemisphere world map in frame. 

The map is from the French atlas Geographie Moderne, having the atlas title upper left.  Numerous similar maps were published in Paris, in the first half of the 19th century, including examples from the atlases of Conrad Malte-Brun (also engraved by Thierry) and Pierre Alexandre Lapie.

Condition generally very good with usual light toning, soft creases, wear.  Two vertical folds, as issued.
