The Flatiron Building, built in 1902, splitting the intersection of Broadway and Fifth Ave., its six-foot narrow curved side at 23rd Street, is an idiosyncratic architectural wedge embellished with French Renaissance-Revival ornament. It is one of New York City's oldest skyscraper -- 22 stories high -- and has been a favorite subject of artists including this 1940s watercolor.

Generally very good condition with the usual light wear, toning, soiling, soft creases. Ample margins. Tape residue on back of paper, not affecting front of watercolor.
