Colorful astronomical chart showing the annual succession of
seasons, from L'Hiver (winter) to Le Printemps (spring). A series of
shaded representations of the earth, tilted on its axis, revolve within
full meridian around a central radiant orange sun. The chart is from
an elephant folio atlas of 60 double and single-page maps and charts
including the world, Europe, etc.
Condition: Generally very good, with the usual light toning,
wear, soft creases. Bright colors considered original, based on other extant examples.
