Rand Nickel

The terrestrial globe capped with a round pyramidal point and canted at an angle on nickel plated inclination arm, raised on a nickel-plated tripod base the three cabriole legs with triangular points between them, ending in pad feet. 

Red and blue isothermal lines are prominently shown.  Canada is colored yellow, Alaska and United States pale pink, Greenland and Mexico pale yellow, and the oceans light blue.  There is an oval analemma. 

This example has the over-label of a Chicago school supply company.  It is signed by Rand McNally in the oceans who made the globe. For more information on Rand McNally, please see our Guide to Globemakers.

Condition:  Globe good with the usual overall toning, soiling, wear and abrasions neatly restored.  Nickel-plated cast iron stand considerably oxidized.
