The terrestrial globe is surmounted by a wooden round conical finial, canted on an iron inclination arm, and raised on a turned maple stand with central standard and round stepped base. North Dakota and South Dakota are divided into states, rather than shown as one territory. Oklahoma is divided into Oklahoma and "INDIAN T'Y" indicating a date of 1891 to 1907. Isothermal lines for January are bright blue and for July bright red, ocean currents are white.
