The terrestrial globe surmounted by brass finial and metal hour circle, canted at an angle a copper-oxidized stand in Art Deco taste having curved standard and closed horse-shoe form base.

Oceans green. Geographical entities orangey brown with some red outlining. Figure 8 analemma. Steamship routes shown.

Hammond was a prominent producer of maps and globes from about the year 1900 and continues in business today. They were one of the few such companies not to move to Chicago, but used both W.& A.K. Johnston and Chicago globes with the Hammond overlabel in addition to manufacturing their own globes.
