The red and white lighthouse is viewed from the shoreline of a sandy beach, just beyond some shrubbery. In the distance is a promontory with buildings and a ship at sea. The Barnegat Lighthouse, an icon of the Jersey Shore, is recognizable from its white base and red upper half. The current structure depicted in this watercolor is 165 feet tall and has 217 steps, and was built as a replacement to the original lighthouse that was destroyed during a storm in 1856. It was decommissioned in 1927, though used by the Coast Guard during World War II, when this painting was done.<\/p>\n
To see other works by Arthur Weindorf on our site, search our site.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":6905,"template":"","meta":{"wds_primary_product_brand":0,"wds_primary_product_cat":0,"footnotes":""},"product_brand":[],"product_cat":[4222,565,922],"product_tag":[61,10198,1006,838,868,837,836,709,1542,4393],"class_list":{"0":"post-6903","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-archive-sold-art-design","7":"product_cat-mid-atlantic","8":"product_cat-cityscapes","9":"product_tag-20th-century","10":"product_tag-arthur-weindorf","11":"product_tag-barnegat","12":"product_tag-house","13":"product_tag-landscape","14":"product_tag-light","15":"product_tag-lighthouse","16":"product_tag-view","17":"product_tag-watercolor","18":"product_tag-weindorf","19":"post","20":"post-with-thumbnail","21":"post-with-thumbnail-large","23":"first","24":"instock","25":"product-type-simple"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/6903","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/product"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/6903\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":44359,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/6903\/revisions\/44359"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/6905"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=6903"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"product_brand","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_brand?post=6903"},{"taxonomy":"product_cat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat?post=6903"},{"taxonomy":"product_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_tag?post=6903"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
