Since then, he has become a successful realist painter and illustrator, with over 20 children&#8217;s books to his credit. He is also a Signature member of The Oil Painters of America and a member of the American Society of Marine Artists. The painting shows Fulton as a jeweler&#8217;s apprentice. A woman is walking in the shop, and a window box is full of blooming geraniums. In the book, it accompanies the following text:<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-left: 25px;\"><em>At about seventeen, Robert was apprenticed to Jeremiah Andrews, a jeweler in Philadelphia.
