At the top, the initial capital C of the poem’s title incorporates a cornucopia of fruit, with a bird partaking of a cherry from it perched on the decorative curl of the letter as another bird flies away. The poem is an exhortation to stay on a virtuous path and avoid the fate of the damned. While most of the designs are benign, the drawing at the bottom strikes an ominous note as a cat attacks a rooster, perhaps an allegory of forces of darkness that prey on those who stray from virtue, or perhaps an allusion to the Enlightenment idea of the sublime. In the midst of the design are capital letters from A to Z, with the title “Printed Uppercase German Alphabet.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":27251,"template":"","meta":{"wds_primary_product_brand":0,"wds_primary_product_cat":0,"footnotes":""},"product_brand":[],"product_cat":[4222],"product_tag":[42,1054,1962,1960,6205,1512,1959,6203,6204,5266,1961,488,203,584,1673,453,6206],"class_list":{"0":"post-4106","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-archive-sold-art-design","7":"product_tag-19th-century","8":"product_tag-art","9":"product_tag-c-1800","10":"product_tag-calligraphy","11":"product_tag-cerca","12":"product_tag-engraving","13":"product_tag-florentine","14":"product_tag-gaetano","15":"product_tag-giarre","16":"product_tag-gloria","17":"product_tag-illumination","18":"product_tag-illustrated","19":"product_tag-italian","20":"product_tag-italy","21":"product_tag-print","22":"product_tag-rococo","23":"product_tag-saggio","24":"post","25":"post-with-thumbnail","26":"post-with-thumbnail-large","28":"first","29":"instock","30":"product-type-simple"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/4106","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/product"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/4106\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":39291,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/4106\/revisions\/39291"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/27251"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4106"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"product_brand","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_brand?post=4106"},{"taxonomy":"product_cat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat?post=4106"},{"taxonomy":"product_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.georgeglazer.com\/wpmain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_tag?post=4106"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
