Rolf Klep was an illustrator and author. Born in Portland, Oregon, he studied at the University of Oregon, where he earned a B.A., as well as the Art Institute of Chicago and the Grand Central School of Art in New York City. He established a successful career in New York City, contributing technical, marine, aeronautical and genre subjects to national magazines and advertising agencies. He authored and illustrated Album of the Great<\/strong> (1937), and illustrated many books including The Children’s Shakespeare<\/strong> (1938), Beowulf<\/strong> (1941), Across the Space Frontier<\/strong> (1952) and Conquest of the Moon<\/strong> (1953). Klep was a member of the Society of Illustrators, the Eugene Field Society, the Artists Guild and the Pacific Artists Guild.<\/p>\n

Condition: Generally very good, center vertical fold as issued.<\/p>\n
