The plot centers on a judge, played by the distinguished actor Richard Basehart (1914-1984), who runs the risk of being compromised when he seeks to commute a death sentence. The episode was directed by Emmy-winning director Bernard L. Each year the ABA presents these awards to recognize works published or presented during the preceding year &#8220;which recognize outstanding work that fosters the American public&#8217;s understanding of law and the legal system.
