Lady Liberty is a popular motif in American art, sculpture, and coins. She is variously based on the Greek goddess Athena (Minerva), the Roman goddess Libertas, and an American Indian Queen.<\/p>\n
Condition: Generally very good with light wear overall. Liberty sash made of thin clear plexiglass with hand painted lettering, as issued.<\/p>\n

Albert (born 1920) was a Tampa, Florida, folk artist who made oil paintings in the 1960s and later specialized in wooden sculptures and carvings. He was photographed for the Florida Folklife Collection in 1979-1982 with his tools and giving demonstrations to schoolchildren.
