According to the standard categories of the day, they are identified mostly by color: Race Rouge, Race Blanche, Race Noire, Race Jaune and Malais (Red Race, White Race, Black Race, Yellow Race and Malay). Beneath each illustration, a caption lists the nationalities and where in the world they are found.

In North America, the Upper Midwest is labeled “Sioux Indiens” and Northern Mexico is labeled “Apaches.” The Antarctic is outlined, though not as recognized today as the correct coastline. The Belgian Congo is shown in Africa and St. Petersburg in Russia, dating this globe to between 1908 and 1914. Around 1924, a third (and probably final) edition of the globe was produced with updated geographical information.

L. The globe is surmounted by a finial, set on at inclination arm at 23 degrees, on a cast-iron tripod stand with raised decoration in the baroque taste, ending in scrolled feet. The oceans show ocean currents (indicated with rows of parallel lines), cable lines, steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and the tracks of various explorers including Cook, Columbus, da Gama, La Perouse and Magellan. Oceans are shaded green, continents are shaded green, yellow and tan, some with yellow outline, with European colonies indicated by different colors according to a key beneath the cartouche, though the colors and color distinctions are subtle due to fading over time. Geographical information includes national boundaries, rivers, mountains, major cities and railway lines.

Product description continues below.

[7991
61,275,938,99,37,5343,5340,273,5345
0":"post-1205","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-english-european-archive","7":"product_tag-20th-century","8":"product_tag-belgian","9":"product_tag-ethnographic","10":"product_tag-european","11":"product_tag-globe","12":"product_tag-table-globe","13":"product_tag-terrestrial-globe","14":"product_tag-windels","15":"product_tag-world-globe","16":"pa_maker-windels","17":"pa_maker-location-belgium","18":"pa_maker-location-europe","19":"post","20":"post-with-thumbnail","21":"post-with-thumbnail-large","23":"first","24":"instock","25":"sold-individually","26":"product-type-simple
["GET
