The globe, apparently intended for classroom use, depicts simple celestial cartography in white on blue. The stars are mapped onto a spherical projection of the Earth’s equator and poles: it has longitude lines every 30 degree, latitude lines at 30 and 60 degrees above and below the equator (to distinguish low, middle and high altitudes), polar circles 90 degrees north and south, and a dashed-line ecliptic. The stars are rendered at various levels of magnitude indicating their relative brightness and size as seen from earth.

Product description continues below.

[929,5975,4175,4227,6790,4191,5349,6842,33,35,6797,76,348
61,7400,7389,463,139,466,468,141,37,464,467,465,140,119,5343
0":"post-1107","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-20th-century-globes","7":"product_cat-astronomy-outer-space-exploration","8":"product_cat-beach-house","9":"product_cat-corporate-gifts-decor","10":"product_cat-garden-room","11":"product_cat-gentlemans-man-cave","12":"product_cat-graduation-gifts","13":"product_cat-holiday-gifts","14":"product_cat-english-european-globes","15":"product_cat-planetary","16":"product_cat-prop-rentals","17":"product_cat-novelty","18":"product_cat-table","19":"product_tag-20th-century","20":"product_tag-allmayer-beck","21":"product_tag-antique-globe","22":"product_tag-aquatorsystem","23":"product_tag-celestial","24":"product_tag-constellation","25":"product_tag-equator","26":"product_tag-german","27":"product_tag-globe","28":"product_tag-himmelsglobus","29":"product_tag-horizon","30":"product_tag-leipzig","31":"product_tag-rath","32":"product_tag-star","33":"product_tag-table-globe","34":"pa_maker-rath","35":"pa_maker-location-europe","36":"post","37":"post-with-thumbnail","38":"post-with-thumbnail-large","40":"first","41":"instock","42":"sold-individually","43":"purchasable","44":"product-type-simple
["GET
