Paul R\u00e4th (1881-1929) was an author and publisher, founding a company specialized in educational aids in Leipzig, Germany in 1917. From the start, the company’s products included the manufacture of globes, which continued for at least 80 years. They produced a variety of kinds of globes including political and physical globes, relief globes, celestial globes, lunar globes, and tellurians.<\/p>\n

The stars are mapped onto a spherical projection of the Earth\u2019s equator and poles: it has longitude lines every 30 degree, latitude lines at 30 and 60 degrees above and below the equator (to distinguish low, middle and high altitudes), polar circles 90 degrees north and south, and a dashed-line ecliptic.
